Jon Pardi’s Album Release Show in Folson, CA
Written by: Leticia Wilfong
Northern California native, Jon Pardi, sold out all 5 of his ‘Write You a Song’ album release parties. The last of the sold out California shows happened to be at Toby Keith’s I Love this Bar and Grill in Folsom, CA, which is more than fitting. With Folsom being so close to Pardi’s hometown of Dixon, – friends, family & fans came in multitudes to celebrate the California Country singer.
‘Write You a Song’ is a very well written and relatable album. To see these songs performed live was even better than I expected. With Jon growing up in N. Cali, there is a “swag” he brings to his music, making it stand out from other Country artists. His signature style is a strong representation of his California background.
‘Up all Night’ is Pardi’s current single & is currently in the Top 25. Other songs he performed included ‘Trash a Hotel Room’ which is a fun, upbeat and catchy tune. The entire album makes you want to dance with songs like ‘Write You a Song’, ‘Empty Beer Cans’, ‘Happens All the Time’ and many more. The album also features his first top 25 single, ‘Missing you Crazy’ plus his slow song entitled ‘That Man’.
Jon’s high energy performance and the way he connects with the audience makes for a great show. It was a treat to hear ‘Up all Night’ with the full band & an acoustic performance from the upcoming artist. He also performed his contest winning song ‘DUI’ which he & a friend wrote together. It was obvious that some of Pardi’s inspirations have been George Strait and Randy Travis, since he covered their songs on stage. The audience could tell Pardi loves what he does and has worked extremely hard to become a wonderful entertainer. It is definitely no coincidence that Pardi’s name rhymes with party, as he is a natural performer that can throw an energetic show.
Jon Pardi may have come out of left field for people outside of N. California, but he has made a big splash on the Country music scene for the locals. There is definitely a #1 hit in his future. He makes all of us in N. California proud to have such a talented, down to earth guy represent us in Country music.
